Here are our most frequently asked questions and their answers:

I see the presentation on the screen but it does not animate and does not do anything when I press the spacebar.
You have Microsoft PowerPoint and the presentation has been loaded in it. Simply press the F5 key on your keyboard to run the slide show. On a Macintosh, click "Slide Show" from the main menu and press "View."

I downloaded and installed the viewer, but when I open a presentation I get a message which says it is corrupt.
Click Start, point to Programs, and click "Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 97." If you are using Windows 98, you may have to scroll the menu down by pointing at the arrow at the bottom of the screen. In the "Look In" section at the top, choose Desktop. Select the presentation you wish to view and click Show.

When I go to a presentation, I get a message saying that is is not a PowerPoint presentation.
You have PowerPoint 95 and Windows is trying to use it to open the presentations. The presentations are not compatable with PowerPoint 95, so you will need to run the Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 97 manually.

I get an error which mentions a ShellExecute failure.
Make sure you have installed the viewer and then click Start, point to Programs, and click "Microsoft PowerPoint Viewer 97." If you are using Windows 98, you may have to scroll the menu down by pointing at the arrow at the bottom of the screen. In the "Look In" section at the top, choose Desktop. Select the presentation you wish to view and click Show.

Do I need to have PowerPoint to run the presentations?
No. A free PowerPoint viewer from Microsoft has been provided on the main page for you to use.

Do I need to be on the Internet to view the presentations?
No, you do not. The presentations will be fully downloaded to your computer so you will be able to keep your phone line open.

I'm getting an error which says that the system is not suitable for running MS-DOS and 16-Bit Microsoft Windows applications.
This error is not specific to the PowerPoint Viewer and may appear when trying to install some older software under Windows XP. This can happen when either Autoexec.nt or Config.nt have become corrupted. You can download a fix for this error by visiting this site and following the instructions.

I have a question that isn't addressed here. What can I do?
If you need additional assistance, please do not hesitate to email Allen Schoessler at support@diamindteam.com. In order to insure a quick reply, please be as specific as possible about the problem you are having. Include all error messages and describe what you were doing when you got the errors. It is also helpful to know what version of Windows you are running, which you can find out by looking at the screen which comes up shortly after you turn your computer on.
